About Daniel
Originally from the U.K. via Los Angeles, Daniel is both a Shamanic practitioner and an award-winning video game designer and producer, who supports people and teams through 1 on 1 services, workshops, retreats and custom programs.
Daniel spent his childhood being fascinated by the esoteric, ancient wisdom he saw reflected in Kung-fu movies, and the imaginary worlds in which characters defied the laws of our reality. So of course, he decided to build those worlds and learn those skills as an adult.
After a series of serious health events in his 20’s, his world view was challenged and his focus shifted to finding the truth of what was ‘real.’ Western medicine was useless and one session with a shaman showed him angles on a reality he hadn’t seen before.
Daniel threw himself into exploring the world of ancient healing, subtle energies, mysticism, and spirit communication. He journeyed (and continues to travel) all over the world to learn from powerful shamans, healers, mystics, psychics, and mediums.
Through these efforts, Daniel observed shared patterns in the esoteric wisdom he was immersed in or ‘truths under the hood'.’ He also felt inspired to make this information as accessible and unpretentious as possible.
As a response, he created The Magick Mechanic. A project that honors both the ‘magic’ in the mechanics a game designer puts into video games, and his skills of breaking down the complex ideas of metaphysics into simple-to-comprehend mechanics digestible to many.
Through this work, he has developed systems and tools for people to heal from difficult personal experiences, reconnect with their personal power and create the reality and world they want to live in, with full authenticity.
He is currently in California with his partner, and travels regularly for global collaborations and events.

Personal Statement
I love what I do. Both in shamanic work, and in systemizing concepts into playable concepts, systems and models… and coming up… video games!
I get to travel, learn about the indigenous traditions, ideas, symbols, language patterns and energetic relationships of a land and culture. Through that, and direct teachings given to me, I also get to learn about how a culture heals it’s people, and what that culture uniquely excels in, and why.
Why is the “power center” of the body located the throat in the Americas? Why is it the solar plexus in India? Why are lower back issues rampant in countries with aggressive capitalism? Is it really only because of chairs with tall backs?
Hint : It isn’t.
I love this work because it’s involves solving riddles and puzzles, and when the answers appear, I can turn it into something to benefit others. Another gift: sometimes, rapid positive life changes can occur for me too.
Asides from learning from some of the world’s most notable shamans, psychologists and “healers”, I’ve reached a point where I’ve created my own models and systems to translate these teachings into digestible forms for a modern mind. I share these in my 1 on 1s, workshops, programs and retreats.
