Q1: What exactly is magic?

Answer: Magic is the art of directing energy to activate an event in the material space. Some people define it as “will and its effect on reality," but the clearer definition focuses on energy direction with intention.

We're always performing magic subconsciously to some degree. The key is learning to do it consciously and with alignment.

Example: Think of it like this—you're already broadcasting a signal all the time through your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. Magic is learning to tune that signal consciously to a specific frequency you want to experience.

Q2: How do you actually perform magic?

Answer: Successful magic requires three elements in complete alignment:

  1. Subject clarity: Who/what is this for? (Yourself, another person, a relationship dynamic)

  2. Intention: What energy you consciously want to create or call in.

  3. Subconscious alignment: What your deeper mind actually believes and feels about this.

The subconscious is your strongest magician. If your conscious intention conflicts with subconscious beliefs, you create what's called a “counter-manifestation."

Example from class: Someone wants to call in more money. Their conscious intention is “I want financial wealth." But their subconscious belief is “If I have all that money I have to be responsible for it and that scares me!"

This creates a counter-manifestation: money might come briefly but leave when you really need it, or opportunities arrive but you self-sabotage them. The subconscious fear resists the conscious desire manifesting cleanly.

Q3: Why is checking the subconscious so important?

Answer: Your subconscious and the energy it radiates creates the actual reality, not your conscious wishes. When there's misalignment, the magic either won't work or will mix in a counter-casted manner to manifest something you don't actually want.

Money spell example from class:

  • Surface desire: “I want more money"

  • Subconscious desire: “I want to be free to do whatever I want whenever I want and answer to nobody.”

  • Deeper inquiry: "What does money give me?"

  • True answer: “Freedom, empowerment, ability to express myself artistically, choices."

  • Real magic: Don't cast for money — cast for “freedom of expression and opportunities that allow me to expand that freedom"

This is what actually brings the money, and other valuable resources, because you're addressing the core energy rather than the surface symptom.

Divine partner example from class: “You could call in a ‘divine partner’ and simply not be ready to hold that level of presence and intimacy, despite thinking you desire it, or are ready for it. I can tell you from experience — don't do that until you've explored those ideas, because your nervous system will freak out completely and you may mess it up and hate yourself for all the crappy things you do to sabotage that relationship, in the service of subconscious protection."

Q4: What's the difference between tea lights, votives, and large prayer candles? When do you use each?

Answer: There is no "better or worse"—it's about the specific situation and what you need.

Tea lights (4-8 hours):

  • Some of the most powerful rituals I’ve made use tea lights.

  • Great for quick, clean, focused work.

  • Easier to make grids with tea lights and for places you may only be resident a short time.

  • Good for support-work, or addressing something simple, quickly.

Votives (1-3 days):

  • Good for practice and seeing details develop.

  • Enough visual feedback without a large time commitment.

  • Creates enough space for energy tending and energetic course correction.

Large pilar candles (5-20 days):

  • Best when working with someone who has strong mental resistance/protections.

  • Allows energy to persist over time so the person's nervous system can adjust more gradually.

  • Good for complex healing that requires layers of breakthrough.

  • Helps when the subject needs familiarity with the energy to accept it into their field and system.

Example from class: “I had a scientist client — incredibly brilliant, decorated, patents, awards, etc... Working on her was effortful because her mind would constantly doubt, second-guess, and project. She needed the energy to persist so it would wear down the resistance. I had to keep tending and sometimes re-casting the energy multiple times a day for 3-4 days because her mental resistance and unsafety in that was so powerful."

Key principle: "It's not just about the candle size — it's about the energy quality and solution. The only time I've seen using the 'wrong' candle is when energy needed to persist longer, but I could have done that with multiple short candles too."

Q5: Can you create spells for someone else? How?

Answer: Yes, and this is where your intuitive psychic abilities come in. The process will involve reading what's in the person's field that's creating resistance.

Step-by-step process:

  1. Listen to their request carefully

    • Write down what they're saying.

    • Note any intuitive hits you get while they speak.

  2. Read the resistance

    • Ask: "What is in this person's field that is resisting the energy they wish to call in?"

    • Examples of ways you can gain helpful info, like a forensics expert in a detective scene:

      • Feel what their field feels like (use clairsentience or other clairs to abstract what the field holds).

      • Looking for patterns of energy movement, emotion or otherwise.

      • Ask to simply receive what’s there and see what you get to see instantly.

  3. Read the desired energy's relationship to whom you are serving

    • Is the energy they want actually available to come in?

    • Where is it in their field?

    • What is resisting that energy in their field? Is it an emotion you can identify, a thought pattern or a dynamic with another?

    • What's the relationship between them and this energy?

  4. Address the resistance first, then call in the energy

    • Many folks wrongly attribute a resistance in their field to someone else hurting, restricting or obstructing them.

    • Sometimes it can be a ‘curse’ or ‘hex’, but learn what the truth is about these through the lesson coming so you know how to utilize those energies to your benefit; they are challenges and opportunities that can be overcome, and not what culture might tell us.

    • Resistance is always - in my experience - a seeded belief creating a density in our bodies and fields. In the field, it will be interacted with using conscious communication.

  5. Tend to the candle while it burns

    • Regularly check-in on resistance emerging.

    • When in your learning phase, ask for reading support from your group-mates / coven so you can assist yourself in verifying your readings and learning how to articulate what you might struggle to identify in what you are experiencing as messages.

    • Re-cast energy where needed.

    • Again, ask for energetic transmission support from your group and coven family.

Example from class - Money spell: "I tuned in and felt this heaviness up and to the left of me. The left side is my yin/feminine side. It felt like compression, doubt, lack of belief, lack of deserving. Then I tuned into: Is there money in their field that wants to come?

I got a hard yes—it was a lot of money they could call in. But that stagnancy and density in their field was in the way. So I created a spell that treated that resistance first, and later in the week, money started coming to them."
