Consent is an agreement we cast with our words and held sincere intention. Sensitive people can often pick up feeling and shape in these castings of energy. Perhaps you will too. At the very least, notice what you feel in your body after speaking your statements of consent.

In most cases, consent is implied when someone asks for a reading or pays for one. This passive consent is common, but if you're committed to maintaining energetic hygiene and deep respect, it’s wise to establish explicit consent.

Before beginning a session, you might say:

“Do you consent to my giving you an energy reading—reading your field, receiving messages from your guides or aligned spirits—for the purpose of supporting your highest evolution in love, today and only within this session?”

This kind of detailed phrasing serves two purposes:

  1. Clarity – It ensures you’re aligning with what the client truly wants from the session (e.g., personal validation vs. deeper spiritual evolution).

  2. Responsibility – It reminds you that you are holding sacred space and possibly playing the role of a guide in their journey.

If you're on the receiving end and want to ensure your boundaries are respected before a reading, you can say:

“I consent to you reading my energy in whatever format you use, only in service to my highest evolution in love and joy, and only within the boundaries of this session.”

This approach to consent reinforces trust, strengthens ethical boundaries, and ensures that both the reader and the client feel grounded and clear in their roles.
